A full Series of Doctor who in 2012

Yesterday Steven Moffat was interviewed at Comic con by Alain Carraz.

Moffat said "there will be the same number of episodes next year" and at the end he added "But its true that there will be a change in the mode of distribution. I would explain it all. Later."

He also confirmed that the BBC have been approached about the 50th anniversary of Doctor who in 2013.

Danny Cohen Talks Doctor Who

No full Doctor who series in 2012

Last week it was reported that the BBC commissioned 14 new episodes on Doctor who!.

This was week it has been revealed by Danny Cohen that there will be no full Doctor who series in 2012.

First writer for Series Seven

According to his online CV, John Fay is currently writing an episode of Doctor Who.

John is no stranger to the Whoniverse having written the penultimate episode of the forthcoming Torchwood: Miracle Day as well as the fourth episode of the outstanding Torchwood: Children of Earth that caused much angsty bile-spewing amongst obsessive shippers.

Series 7 - 14 episodes confirmed!

The Head of Communications for BBC1, Fiction, Daytime and HD at the BBC, Sam Hodges has confirmed on twitter yesterday that Doctor Who has been commissioned for a further fourteen episodes, with Matt Smith continuing as The Doctor.
