Connect with thousands of Doctor Who fans online in Second Life!
Doctor Who fans have reason to be excited with a fantastic sim area on Second Life inspired by the TV series.
Located in the virtual region of 'Katrina', and situated in the heart of a virtual Cardiff, 'The Doctor Who Experience & Cardiff' is an area made for fans by fans.
Users of the free-to-join virtual world, can even get their hands on Doctor Who inspired TARDIS's to fly around the many landmarks of interest. With interchangeable avatars and objects, you can personalise your entire Second Life experience.
Doctor Who Online has its own HQ right at the heart of the Katrina sim (opposite the Millennium Centre), where fans can meet and interact. If you are already a Second Life member, you can teleport to us here.
Spread over three tiers, you can can check out the history of DWO as well as checking out the latest instalments of The Doctors Diary and the DWO WhoCast. There's also a meeting area as well as a whole level dedicated to our WHOSTORE, where fans can purchase Doctor Who merchandise.
Although currently aimed at fans over the age of 18 (for security reasons), the sim may be merged with the younger database later in the year, so if you don't meet the age requirements just yet, you shouldn't have to wait too long.
A section has been set up in the DWO Forums for discussion of the SecondLife Sim. Feel free to post questions and queries, and one of the DWO Team will be happy to help you.
** We would like to once again remind visitors, that neither David Tennant or Matt Smith are on Second Life, and anyone claiming to be either, should be reported. Never give out personal information online!
Second Life can be downloaded for FREE at: http://www.secondlife.com.
