Torchwood: Casting Update
Deadline are reporting that the actress Arlene Tur has been cast as a surgeon named Vera Juarez in the new series of Torchwood, The New World. The actress is best known on screen for her role as Bebe Arcel in another series by the network Starz, Crash.A number of names have been associated with the main roles of the series, including Enver Gjokaj (Anthony Ceccoli in Dollhouse) and Chad Michael Murray (Lucas Scott in One Tree Hill) for CIA Agent Rex Matheson, and Amber Stevens (Ashleigh Howard in Greek) as Watch Analyst Esther Katusi - however, apart from the established characters played by John Barrowman (Jack), Eve Myles (Gwen) and Kai Owen (Rhys), no other cast announcements have been made so far.

Karen teases “best monsters so far” for Series 6
Karen reminisced: “You’ve just got to be positive about it and that’s what I did. Of course there were moments of terror, but for the most part it was just really fun.”
When pressed on her favourite monster, the actress offered some intriguing teasers for one of the enemies the Doctor and Amy will be encountering next year! She said: “Until a few weeks ago, it was always the Weeping Angels, but we’re filming something at the moment that I can’t tell you about, but it involves the best monsters so far.” Spooky!
Four Doctors Cover Revealed
The cover for the eagerly-awaited multi-Doctor adventure The Four Doctors has now been revealed. The story, by Peter Anghelides, finds four incarnations of the Doctor faced with an army of Daleks, and is available only to subscribers of our monthly Doctor Who range. It will, however, remain available to future subscribers at any time.The Four Doctors is released in December and includes a stunning commemorative 16-page booklet.

Timeboy's Speculation for xmas special
Few spoilery tidbits from the opening two parter for everyone to ponder:
Towards the start of the episode we have the traditional "Where are we up to now?" conversation between the Doctor and River Song. This time, in a 1960s American Diner.
Expect timey-wimey antics on the scale of "The Big Bang"
Amy finds something out, and River Song asks for her word that she'll keep it quiet.
(I know nothing more than those brief nuggets at the mo, so can't expand, sorry!)
Matt Smith Teases Christmas Episode
The festive instalment will feature Harry Potter star Michael Gambon and singer Katherine Jenkins in key roles.
Smith told USA Today: "I had great fun making [the episode] because obviously it was the middle of July and there's loads of fake snow. There's lots of snow, crackers and turkey, and that goes hand-in-hand with the spirit of The Doctor and Doctor Who."
He added that the special would focus heavily on The Doctor's own festive spirit.
"It's showcasing humans at their most open and giving and kind," he said. "It's everything The Doctor's about."
Smith also referred to his role on the sci-fi drama as "the greatest part I've ever played".
"What's so wonderful about playing The Doctor is it's all based on invention," he explained. "You're given this white canvas to invent and paint on, and he can be any colour. I really want to push the boundaries of this part into next year now and keep raising the bar."
