DW – About Craig Owens

Craig Owens came across as an ordinary man who just happened to be sharing his house with the most extraordinary man in the universe.

But the Doctor uncovers unseen attributes in many of the people he encounters, and during their adventures together, Craig demonstrated an uncommon bravery and a heart of gold. He also revealed his love for his friend, Sophie, and they're now an item. At last.

Craig works in an office, loves playing football and sharing pizzas with Sophie. He's also seen inside the mind of Time Lord and fought a deadly alien threat. He doubts the Doctor will ever return to his house on Aickman Road, but he'll always consider him to be a true friend.

Briggs: "Maybe it's time for the Daleks to rest!"

More on the doctor's regenerations

The doctor is now immortal?

We all thought that the doctor could only regenerate 12 times which was revealed when the doctor was in his 4Th incarnation in the deadly assassin But! later this month is set to rewrite history and cast the Doctor, iconic hero of the world's most successful and longest-running science fiction series, as immortal.

The moment comes in the CBBC spin-off show, The Sarah Jane Adventures, which stars former companion Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith. Matt Smith, who plays the current Doctor Who, guest stars in a two-part episode called The Death of the Doctor, to be screened on October 25 and 26. While the Doctor and Clyde Langer, played by Daniel Anthony, are in the process of outwitting spooky vulture undertakers the Shansheeth, Clyde asks how many times he can regenerate. The Doctor indicates that there is no limit. The action continues.

Whovian Simon says: "Many of us old-timers have looked forward to the story that addresses the end of the Doctor's life span. I'm gutted that it appears that something so integral to the show's long-term storyline has been passed over in this way."

The BBC would not say whether there would be any further explanation. "We never comment on future story lines for Doctor Who," said a spokeswoman.

The Story of Doctor Who (Part 6 of 6)

Dr who ninth doctor quotes Father's Day

The Doctor: The past is another country. 1987's just the Isle of Wight.
Rose: I'm not stupid.
The Doctor: You could have fooled me.

Dr who ninth doctor quotes The Empty Child

The Doctor: Mauve Alert!
Rose: What's that?
The Doctor: Intergalactic Distress Signal.
Rose: Should that be a red alert?
The Doctor: That's just humans. By everyone else's standards, red's camp. Oh, the misunderstandings—all those Red Alerts, all that dancing.
Capt. Jack Harkness: Could you switch off your cell phone? No, seriously, it interferes with my instruments.
Rose:  You know, no one ever believes that.
The Doctor: So that's what you do, is it, Nancy?
Nancy: What is?
The Doctor: Soon as the sirens go, you find a big fat family meal, still warm on the table with everyone down in the air raid shelter, and bingo! Feeding frenzy for the homeless kids of London Town! Puddings for all... as long as the bombs don't get you!
Nancy: Something wrong with that!?
The Doctor: Wrong with it?! It's brilliant! I'm not sure if it's Marxism in action or a West End musical!
The Doctor: Amazing.
Nancy: What is?
The Doctor: 1941. Right now, not very far from here, the German war machine is rolling up the map of Europe. Country after country, falling like dominoes. Nothing can stop it, nothing. Until one tiny, damp little island says "No. No, not here." A mouse in front of a lion. You're amazing, the lot of you. I don't know what you did to Hitler, but you frighten the hell out of me.
The Doctor: You're very sick.
Doctor Constantine: Dying, I should think, I just haven't been able to find the time. Are you a doctor?
The Doctor: I have my moments.
Doctor Constantine: Before this war began, I was a father and a grandfather. Now I'm neither, but I'm still a doctor.
The Doctor: Yeah. I know the feeling.
The Doctor: It's my nose; it has special powers.
Nancy: Yeah? That why it's so...?
The Doctor: What?
Nancy: Nothing.
The Doctor: What?
Nancy: Nothing. Do your ears have special powers too?
