Davies: 'Who, Torchwood will not clash'

Torchwood - John Barrowman

Torchwood creator Russell T. Davies has revealed that a crossover between the series and parent show Doctor Who could still happen.
The fourth series of the sci-fi spinoff, titled The New World, will be a co-production between the BBC and US network Starz.
However, Davies told IGN: "Steven [Moffat] said he'd love to see Jack [Harkness] in Doctor Who. So if Steven says that, Steven will make it happen, I would think. That's not inside information, but I bet one day it will happen. I'd love to see it. It would be marvellous."
The writer also confirmed that he is still in close contact with Moffat regarding the two shows.
"Steven knows the plot of The New World," he explained. "We both have enough awareness of each other's worlds to avoid [clashing]."
He continued: "We're very careful to make sure that we behave within the Doctor Who world, while still being completely free to tell our own stories."
Doctor Who will return to BBC One this Christmas. Torchwood: The New World will air in the US and the UK next summer.

More entries are expected later today when the official charts are updated.
