Doctor Who series 6: Opening Episode Titles revealed
Steven Moffat’s opening adventure for Doctor Who’s sixth series now has episode titles to go with it…
There's just over a month to go until the return of Doctor Who to our screens, and the BBC has revealed what the names of the Steven Moffat-penned opening two episodes are.
Unusually, the series will open with a two-part story (for the first time since the show returned to our screens in 2005), and this is the adventure that's been partly shot in America. Part one, then, will be known as The Impossible Astronaut, while the second episode is going under the moniker of Day Of The Moon.
Dr who quotes Daleks The Big Bang
River Song: Not yet. Your systems are still restoring, which means your shield density is compromised. One alpha-meson burst through your eye-stalk would kill you stone dead.
Dalek: Records indicate you will show mercy. You are an associate of the Doctor.
River Song: I'm River Song. Check your records again.
Dalek: ...Mercy?
River Song: Say it again?
Dalek: Mercy!
River Song: One more time.
Dalek: MERCYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!
Amy: What happened to the Dalek?
River: It died.

The Curse of Fatal Death
To celebrate the return of Doctor Who to Comic Relief, we've got the mini-adventure written by Steven Moffat for 1999's Red Nose Day.
The adventure is an affectionate parody and features the Doctor, the Master and an army of Daleks. It stars Rowan Atkinson, Richard E Grant, Jim Broadbent, Hugh Grant, Joanna Lumley, Julia Sawalha and Jonathan Pryce.
It was written by Steven Moffat, who, of course, went on to become Doctor Who's Lead Writer and Executive Producer. His fellow Executive Producer on The Curse of Fatal Death was Richard Curtis who later wrote Vincent and the Doctor.
Part one of The Curse of Fatal Death is below... we'll be bringing you part two on Wednesday.
Red Nose Day is Friday, 18 March and amongst all the brilliant stuff that's going out on the big night on BBC ONE, the Doctor, Amy and Rory will be returning! They're back in an adventure specially written by Steven Moffat and directed by Richard Senior.
