Mara Tales on DVD in March 2011
The Mara Tales Boxset, comprising the two fifth Doctor Stories, Kinda and Snakedance, will be released in the UK on 7 March 2011.
The remastered discs will feature new CGI for the Mara's manifestation as a snake, as well as documentaries on the making of the series, an interview with Christopher Bailey, the author of the two stories, and deleted scenes.

BESSIE
Bessie, The Doctors famous vintage Yellow Edwardian Roadster, made it’s first appearance in a 7 part story of The 7th season, The DOCTOR and the SILURIANS originally broadcast 31 January, 1970 with The Third Doctor (Jon Pertwee). The colorful car displayed a license plate WHO 1 on the Front and back. The Doctor’s companion Liz Shaw said that he named the car Bessie after her.
Bessie appears in approximately 13 episodes, mostly with The Third Doctor, once with the Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker) in ROBOT and again with the Third Doctor in the 1983 20th Anniversary special, THE FIVE DOCTORS. In 1989 Bessie appears once more with the 7th Doctor (Sylvester McCoy) in the episode BATTLEFIELD. Bessie appeared one final time in the 1993 special children in need story DIMENSIONS IN TIME, 26 November 1993.
