Source - Timelord50 and Here, Here

Cybermen have been seen on set.

"Great day today. They've been filming for Dr Who at work so lots of cybermen around and also got to meet Karen Gillan who plays the Dr's assistant Amy Pond. What a lovely person, signed autographs and chatted. Didn't get to meet Arthur Darvill who plays here on screen partner Rory Williams as he was busy with the cybermen."

Dr who filming (reports) on facebook

Dr who series 6 & 7 casting news, unmasking a sontaran, filming in cornwall and more!!

After a week where Doctor Who filming has been conspicuous by its absence a twitterer reported:

@swanseagundog: Great day today. They’ve been filming for Dr Who at work so lots of cybermen around and also got to meet Karen Gillan who plays the Dr’s assistant Amy Pond. What a lovely person, signed autographs and chatted. Didn’t get to meet Arthur Darvill who plays here on screen partner Rory Williams as he was busy with the cybermen.

According to a comment on the Doctor Who Filming Facebook page todays filming seems to have taken place at the former L’Oreal plant in Talbot Green. This at least confirms that the Cybermen will be returning in Episode Seven. There is however no news on whether they themselves have been upgraded.

Another of the twitterati added:

@poppythecat: Aww! My friend says her twins did their filming for Doctor Who today and were held by Matt. Bless. She said they’ll feature strongly

More at - Doctor who spoilers

A Doctor Who fan revealed on twitter that the series would be leaving Wales behind next week and filming in Charlestown, St. Austell.

According to the Cornwall Guide website: Charlestown was built between 1791 and 1801 and is an unspoilt example of a late Georgian working port. Which would definitely suggest a period setting for the story.

It appears that the Who Crew will be shooting in Charlestown for three or four days in early February and is most likely to be for Episode Three which is written by Sherlock scribe Steve Thompson.

More at Doctor who spoilers

The photograph of a Sontaran at some location filming earlier this month raised the quesion of whether the potato-headed warmongers are returning in episodes 5 and 6 (as might befit a storyline rumoured to involve cloning) or episode 7 (as we thought at the time).

The mystery is now solved thanks to the spotlight cv of Dan Starkey who will be returning to the Sontaran suit as Strax in an episode directed by Peter Hoar.

Dan previously appeared as Commander Skorr in The Sontatan Strategem/The Poison Sky and as Jask, the would be assasin of Mr. and Mrs. Smith in The End of Time, Part Two. He will also be appearing in the fifth series of The Sarah Jane Adventures as Plark.

Downton Abbey toff Hugh Bonneville swaps the period drama for a role in Doctor Who

Hugh, 47 - who plays the Earl of Grantham in the ITV1 drama - appears as a pirate captain in the new run of the BBC1 hit this spring.
Hugh said: "When I was a boy, the music and Jon Pertwee's doctor had me peeking out from behind the sofa every Saturday.
"I am thrilled to be appearing in the new series.
"Although the pirate's demons are different to those of the young lad who watched through his fingers, they are no less terrifying - this new adventure is not for the faint-hearted."
The second series of Downton Abbey starts later this year.

Sarah jane adventures quotes Invasion of the Bane

Sarah Jane: I saw amazing things, out there in space--but there is strangeness to be found, wherever you turn. Life on Earth can be an adventure too... you just need to know where to look!
Mrs. Wormwood: Can we move on to business?
Sarah Jane: I've got contacts in the city that say this company dropped in from nowhere, and normally it takes years of tests to get approved by the EU to manufacture a new foodstuff, but you got it in two weeks.
Mrs. Wormwood: All we are doing is satisfying a need.
Sarah Jane: Which is?
Mrs. Wormwood: The people are hungry, Miss Smith. For new food. For new drinks. New tastes. All the western world does, is eat. All day, every day, eating. They gorge and feast and chew and bite. Everything sweet and hot and cold and sticky... food and drink. Just food and drink. That's the human race... they devour! Who are we to deny them?
Sarah Jane: Oh, and by the way, what planet do you come from?
Mrs. Wormwood: Nice try.
Mrs. Wormwood: The thoughts of a child are chaos. Late homework? Is she fat? Will she ever be kissed? And she worships something called... the holy oak... no, Hollyoaks. But her parents fight - she wishes she was older, she wishes she was younger. This world scares her so very much.
Sarah Jane: I met this man, a very special man, called the Doctor. And years ago, we traveled together.
Maria: In space?
Sarah Jane: Space and time. Then it came to an end. Suddenly, I was back to a normal life. Electric bills, burst pipes, bus tickets... and rain.
Kelsey: She's gone completely loop-the-loop!
Sarah Jane: There, y'see? Who could I talk to about it? For years I tried to forget! And then I met him again, the Doctor... but we had both changed, but it was funny because we were still both, the same. I learned that I could carry on here on Earth, doing what we always did.
Kelsey: Right, everyone's an alien. You, me, the Pope, James Blunt - actually, I can believe that one...
Sarah Jane: Maria, there are two types of people in the world. Those who panic, and then there's us. Got it?
Maria: Got it.
Sarah Jane: When I was your age, I used to think "Oh, when I'm grown up, I'll know what I want, I'll be sorted." But you never really know what you want. You never feel grown up, not really. You never sort it all out... so I thought, I could handle life on my own. But after today... I don't want to!

Fan poem about rose tyler

The worst of all days

Follows the best of years

And at the parting of the ways

I feel the greatest of fears

For i know not what is to come for me

The past can’t come again

I’ve seen things no one else could see

I should have gone mad, but I remain sane

I thought the end of those days would never come

But yet I stand here on the day that I died

Still I have remained the same

Apart from the tears I shed as I cried

You came into my life on the most ordinary of days

And there you have stayed until my death

You have saved my life in many different ways

Until this day were I breathe my last breath

But I still live

Trapped, far away

That was what I had to give

To live day after day

You can’t come back for me

So I must find my way to you

Then maybe you will see

But you have left me with no clue

We fought one last battle together

Against our greatest enemy

Now I could be with you forever

Then you gave me what was best for me.
