Dr who eleventh doctor quotes The Curse of the Black Spot
Captain Avery: She can smell the blood on your skin. She's marked you for death.
Rory: She?
Captain Avery: A demon, out there in the ocean.
The Doctor: Okay, groovy. So you're just not pirates today — we've managed to bag us a ship with a demon popping in. Very efficient. I mean, if something's going to kill you, it's nice that it drops you a note to remind you.
The Doctor: And the gun's back. You're big on the gun thing, aren't you? Freud would say you're compensating. Ever met Freud? No. Comfy sofa.
Captain Avery: I give the orders.
The Doctor: Ah. Worry, 'cause I'm wearing a hat now.
Captain Avery: Wheel?
The Doctor: Atom accelerator.
Captain Avery: It steers the thing.
The Doctor: No! Sort of... yes.
Captain Avery: Wheel, telescope, astrolabe, compass. A ship's a ship.
Captain Avery: I'm confused.
The Doctor: Yeah, well, it's a big club. We should get T-shirts.
Rory:I know you can do this. Of course, if you muck it up, I am going to be really cross. And dead.
Starz: Torchwood may not return in 2012
The CEO at Starz, Chris Albrecht, has said that despite any form of success of Torchwood: Miracle Day, the show may not actually be certain to return next year, regardless of immense popularity. He emphasised – at the TV critics tour event - that much of Torchwood’s future i dependant on writer and showrunner Russell T Davies and whether he can come up with a story for the show that Starz deem good enough.
He said: “Torchwood is not one of the show we went into thinking about a yearly return. It’s about Russell T Davies … he has a lot of things on his plate. If Torchwood is at the top of his list, that will effect the future of Torchwood.”
Let’s hope Mr Albrecht sees sense very soon!

BBC Reveals Details of the rest of Doctor Who series 6
The BBC has filled in some of the blanks regarding the shape of Doctor Who series 6’s remaining episodes. Details here…
Starting on Saturday 27th August, there are six more episodes to go as part of Doctor Who series 6, and the BBC has revealed some more details of them. Here’s what we’ve got to look forward to…
6.8: Let’s Kill Hitler by Steven Moffat
An episode that promises to pick up from the end of A Good Man Goes To War, this one features Albert Welling as Hitler, and is directed by Richard Senior. The synopsis? Glad you asked…
”In the desperate search for Melody Pond, the TARDIS crash lands in 1930s Berlin, bringing the Doctor face to face with the greatest war criminal in the Universe. And Hitler. The Doctor must teach his adversaries that time travel has responsibilities - and in so doing, learns a harsh lesson in the cruellest warfare of all.”
6.9: Night Terrors by Mark Gatiss
We know the title for Gatiss’ latest Doctor Who story (following The Unquiet Dead,The Idiot’s Lantern and Victory Of The Daleks). It’s called Night Terrors (although this had been revealed a little earlier), is set in the modern day, and “features a little boy who has a fear of something.” Gatiss says that this “features some of the scariest moments he’s ever dreamt up.”
6.10: The Girl Who Waited by Tom MacRae
This is an episode title we didn’t know. Tom MacRae, who wrote The Rise Of The Cybermen/The Age Of Steel, writes for Matt Smith for the first time. The BBC hasn’t revealed any fresh plot details of the story, but it has confirmed that Nick Hurran is directing.
6.11: The God Complex by Toby Whithouse
Being Human genius Toby Whithouse has attracted David Walliams to his episode. Walliams is set to play an alien by the name of Gibbis, and the story itself (which is one of the creepiest looking of the series) is set in a hotel. Nick Hurran is directing this one, too.
6.12: Untitled by Gareth Roberts
This one is still without a name, but it does bring back James Corden as Craig Owens. We last saw the character in last year’s The Lodger. We caught a glimpse of this episode in the trailer that the BBC released the other day, complete with Corden and Matt Smith getting a little up close and personal.
6.13: Untitled by Steven Moffat
There’s no shortage of threads already to tie together this series, and Karen Gillan has teased that this final episode of series 6 will feature “possibly the biggest twist so far”. We’re intrigued to see just what that is…

Doctor Who star Karen Gillan to make theatre debut
Doctor Who actress Karen Gillan is to make her professional theatre debut in a West End revival of John Osborne's 1964 play Inadmissible Evidence.
Gillan, who plays the Doctor's feisty assistant Amy Pond, will appear with Douglas Hodge in the show, which opens at the Donmar Warehouse in October.
Hodge plays a self-destructive lawyer, while Gillan will play his secretary.
The 23-year-old Scot will be seen later this year playing model Jean Shrimpton in BBC Four film We'll Take Manhattan.
Dame Eileen Atkins played Gillan's role in the original production of Osborne's play at the Royal Court in London.
Jamie Lloyd will direct the Donmar's revival, which - according to the Daily Mail - will make "subtle cuts" to Osborne's text.
British actress Thandie Newton will also be treading the boards this autumn, this time in a revival of the Ariel Dorfman play Death and the Maiden.
The play - opening at the Comedy Theatre in October - will see the 38-year-old play a former political prisoner who kidnaps a man she believes raped and tortured her.
Newton appeared with Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible II and won a Bafta in 2006 for her work in Crash.
Juliet Stevenson appeared in the original 1991 production of the play, while Sigourney Weaver starred in Roman Polanski's 1994 film
Dr who eleventh doctor quotes Day of the Moon
River Song: Apollo 11's your secret weapon?
The Doctor: No, no, it's not Apollo 11. That would be silly. It's Neil Armstrong's foot.
The Doctor: As long as there's been something in the corner of your eye, or creaking in your house, or breathing under your bed, or voices through a wall — they've been running your lives for a very long time now. So keep this straight in your head: we are not fighting an alien invasion — we're leading a revolution. And today the battle begins.
The Doctor: Oh, this is my friend River. Nice hair, clever, and has her own gun. And unlike me, she really doesn't mind shooting people. I shouldn't like that. Kinda do, a bit.
River Song: Thank you, sweetie.
The Doctor: I know you're team players and everything, but she'll definitely kill the first three of you.
River: Oh, the first seven, easy.
The Doctor: Seven, really?
River: Oh, eight for you, honey.
The Doctor: Stop it!
River: Make me!
The Doctor: Oh, maybe I will!
Amy Pond: Is this really important, flirting? 'Cause I feel like I should be higher on the list right now!
The Doctor: Guys? Sorry, but you're way out of time. Now, come on, a bit of history for you. Aren't you proud you helped? Do you know how many people are watching this live on the telly? Half a billion and that's nothing, because the human race will spread out among the stars. You just watch them fly. Billions and billions of them for billions and billions of years and every single one of them, at some point in their lives, will look back at this man taking that very first step and they will never ever forget it. Oh, but they'll forget this bit. Ready?
Canton: Ready.
Neil Armstrong: It's one small step for man...
Silent: You should kill us all on sight.
The Doctor: You've given the order for your own execution and the whole planet just heard you.
Neil Armstrong: ...one giant leap for mankind.
The Doctor: And one whacking great kick up the backside for the Silence! You just raised an army against yourself! And now, for a thousand generations, you'll be ordering them to destroy you every day. How fast can you run? Because today's the day the human race throw you off their planet. They won't even know they're doing it. I think, quite possibly, the word you're looking for right now is "Oops".
Nixon: This person you want to marry: black?
Canton: Yes...
Nixon: I know what people think of me, but perhaps I am a little more liberal—
Canton: He is.
Nixon: I think the moon is far enough for now, don't you, Mr. Delaware?
Canton: I figured it might be.

Jack Is Dying To Get Ahead Of The Soaps
What a brilliant storyline to kick off the new series of torchwood.
All over the world people have stopped dying. No matter what happens to them - impaling, electrocution, lethal injection - they're all surviving. The only apparent exception, ironically is John Barrowman's ''indestructible'' Captain Jack who's started showing signs he might actually peg it, possible as some kind of divine retribution for Tonight's The Night. What a blow that would be.
But don't let's go over-praising the writers here. Because you realise the whole idea is nicked? Stolen from Coronation Street, that is. Yep, Corrie's been doing the whole un-dead for about a year now. Think about it.
Did anyone actually see psycho Tony Gordon fatally frazzle in that fire last summer? Exactly.
And what about barmy John Stape plunging from that hospital roof and seemingly walk away?
And if you still don't believe me - What about Leanne's condition after falling down the stairs Friday night (15/7/2011)? ''Just a few bruises,'' she told Peter.
See what I'm getting at? As ever, if there's a clever story idea to be had the mighty corrie gets there first. Don't be surprised if Maria's hit and run victim hubby Liam strolls into the rovers next week. Albeit probably in instalments.
Matt Smith drops in on Doctor Who theatre show
Doctor Who actor Matt Smith has made a surprise appearance in a highly acclaimed "immersive" theatre production based on the TV show.
Smith appeared in character in front of 25 fans aged 9-12 at a performance of The Crash of the Elysium at the Manchester International Festival.
The show puts the audience at the heart of a Doctor Who adventure and are told it is up to them to save the world.
Smith is normally seen on screens but appeared in person on Friday.
Matt Smith popped up to thank the young adventurers for saving the Doctor and the world
The Crash of the Elysium, created by theatre company Punchdrunk, has earned a series of five-star reviews in national newspapers.
The audience members are told to wear chemical decontamination suits as they are led through a series of rooms by actors dressed as soldiers, looking for clues and being chased by the Doctor's enemies.
Smith said the show was "a marriage made in creative space heaven".
"I've always watched Punchdrunk shows and marvelled at their inventiveness and individuality," he said.
"Put that together with Doctor Who and there is a wonderful template to tell unique stories in unique ways. The Doctor would definitely approve."
The Crash of the Elysium is one of the highlights of the Manchester International Festival, which ends on Sunday and also involves new works by Victoria Wood, Damon Albarn and Marina Abramovic.

Dr who Eleventh doctor quotes Time (red nose day 2011)
The Doctor: Oh, this is how it all ends, Pond flirting with herself. True love at last. Oh. Sorry, Rory.
The Doctor: Ok, we're back in normal flight. The TARDIS is no longer inside itself, the localised time field is no longer about to implode and rip a whole in all causality, but just in case...Pond, put some trousers on.
