Radio times speaks to david tennant return to british tv and (failing) america

David Tennant return to British TV screens in new drama Single Father and radio times catches up with him on his thoughts on Hollywood, feeling broody and his successor Matt Smith.

"There are more actors than cockroaches" in Los Angeles, according to David Tennant. also discussing his attempts to crack America 

David Tennant headed to the US to film a pilot for legal drama Rex Is Not Your Lawyer, A full run of the show was never commissioned. 

He tells radio times......

"No. These are enormous empires," he tells RT, "and you don't hear anything, you just get told what to do. Word comes down from Mount Olympus and you just trundle on.

"It was a fantastic experience to have [though], and I'm very grateful for that… Los Angeles is a fascinating place and I found myself liking it more and more and loathing it more and more in equal measure. It's a beautiful place and the opportunities are vast, but at the same time it has a real cold-bloodedness."
