Laila, 39, is Colonel Karim of commando squad UNIT - just like the Brigadier from the 1970s, played by Nicholas Courtney. The pair lock horns in a two-part special of Doctor Who spin-off show The Sarah Jane Adventures, to air on October 25 and 26 on CBBC.
